WebDAV has become useless for regular backups

Hello team, your WebDAV access has become almost useless for regular backup activities. I’ve been using my QNAP’s backup solution to manage this task but for a while now I’m just getting these errors:

Access problem (WebDAV not found: /NAS/Backup)

I believe this is related to a recent update of the rate and burst limits (neither of them can be adjusted in my WebDAV client FYI) and now I’m regretting having paid for a 5y plan with you people after the service seemed to have degraded like this!

You have my sympathy - i have a lifetime plan and the icedrive webdav implementation is as useful as a chocolate kettle. In the short term, i am using another cloud backup provider. With (almost) the same settings, webdav-based backup runs fine.

I usually give IT support the benefit of doubt (I’ve been there and own the t-shirt), but I now simply believe that icedrive has resorted to ghosting users in the hope that they will migrate to their proprietary interface (or another supplier). By providing a webdav port, they are technically not in breach of contract - even if to all intents, that service is useless. Speculation on my part, but that is how it appears to me.

If anyone from icedrive thinks i’m being unfair - please give me a known good config for rsync or rclone and i’ll give it go.
