Small, temporary files created during sync

I am getting multiple temporary files created in the folders that I am syncing, denoted with the tilda symbol.
eg. ~$ver letter 230510.docx

Is this a known bug and any suggestions on how to address this? I have v2.70

It’s not a bug exactly.

This is a thing that Word makes, think of it like an instance of your actual file, but you won’t see it unless you have hidden files enabled in the folder.

But yeah, the fact that their sync still lacks any sophistication such as simple exclusion lists - can it be considered a bug? Up to you.
