Hi there, when i use the IceDrive App on my laptop, i prefer to log out of the App and close it whenever i shut down my laptop, but this then resets the desktop App to it’s default settings, so when i boot my laptop up, the Desktop App will load automatically onto my screen, where i then need to log into the App to open it, then i have to re-configure my settings before mounting my IceDrive partition.
I am happy to log into my App and reset it each time i turn my laptop on, however i don’t like the App loading onto my screen when the laptop boots up, so is there a way to stop the App from loading on my screen when the laptop boots up.
Personally i think it is a stupid idea to use this setting by default, i should not have to stay logged into my App when i close my laptop to prevent the App from automatically launching.
Is there a way to fix this issue, if not, can it be corrected in future upgrades please, it really is annoying for me.

Yes that is correct, but the settings that you manually make when you have logged into the App only stay there as long as you do not actually log out of the App, and up until today i was just turning my laptop off and the Icedrive App does not actually log out, so the App will not load automatically when i turn my laptop on, because the App is still logged in.
I always thought that the App should log out completely when you turn off your computer, like many other Apps do, but not IceDrive.

Ahh, that’s not clear. I just tried and after deselecting ‘start with windows’ and logging off, the app did not start after a reboot. Only after re-logging on and off to icedrive and rebooting a 2nd time does it start automatically.
I’d suggest that resetting all options to defaults at icedrive client logon is a design choice by icedrive and not necessarily a bug that needs correcting.
You could just always deselect ‘start with windows’ each time you logon.
I use and have used many different cloud providers and ALL of the ones I have, preserve the loggged in status after reboot.
Hi again, i know it is not a bug in the App, it is something that IceDrive has obviously implemented without thinking about those who don’t want the desktop App to load onto the screen when the computer has booted to the desktop.
I have repeated various settings, and regardless of the settings that i made in the App after logging in, if i log out of the App and power off the laptop, when i boot it back up to the desktop, the App always opens on my screen automatically because when you log out of the App the settings revert back to default, which includes opening when you load windows.
After i log back into the App i need to reconfigure the settings before i mount my IceDrive partition, especially selecting the Drive letter that i want the partition to use (i always use Z as the drive letter)
I don’t want my App left logged in when i shut down the laptop just to stop the App from opening automatically, but it seems like i have to put up with this silly idea, they should allow us to create our settings, and save them regardless if we log out of the App or not.
