Post-Quantum Cryptographic Encryption Algorithms Incorporation

Hi, Icedrive Team. Do you have any plans to implement any of the already approved PQC encryption algorithms to guard against evolving quantum computing threats on the horizon? Months ago, Google updated its estimate for the arrival of a cryptographically relevant quantum computer to 2029–pulled back from 2032 due to the tech-giant’s broad survey and own QC research into the accelerating pace of powerful actors’ development work. And IonQ projects a CRQC with ~1,600 logical qubits by 2028 . This estimate relies on their trapped-ion technology scaling via photonic interconnects to reach the threshold required for breaking encryption. This timeline is likely to continue to be updated closer to the present. More and more of us are also anxious about the present threat of harvest-now-decrypt-later in the meantime that places sensitive data encrypted with classical algorithms at risk for CRQC decryption in the future. Thanks for letting us know.
