One way sync with do not delete option set is deleting files

Overview

Windows desktop 3.33

Issue

I have a backup folder setup to sync to the encrypted side if the id server. i do zipped backups to this folder. the backup sw i use only keeps several weeks of backups and deletes old zips.
so as to keep olde backups on ID only, i use the DO NOT DELETE option in the settings (on both local and remote).

when the backup sw deletes ONE file at a time, ID puts out an error message (annoying in itself) and does not delete the file on the server, all as expected.

however, i decided to reduce the number of local copies so i deleted a few in the local dir. ** AND SO DID ICEDRIVE ** on the server.

in the log it said:
[08.07.2025 09:46:37.658] [22144] req: batch delete 17 items
[08.07.2025 09:46:38.042] [22144] the response is: {“error”:false,“message”:“Delete successful”}
[08.07.2025 09:46:38.043] [22144] sync: batch delete succeeded for 17 items: “Delete successful”

so looks like the DO NOT DELETE sync option does NOT work for multiple deletes,

sadly, i now have zero trust in this new v3 client

yeah this happened to me too

well just tested this on the recent v3.51 client, guess what, it still deletes multiple files.

as i said in anther post, ‘as far as i’m concerned, any data i store on ID has no integrity or reliability for my use case at least’.

what’s more, the v3.51 now prompts for user access control before it starts. or was that deliberate to give customers a chance to stop it from deleting data it wasn’t supposed to delete

absolutely atrocious
