is that a feature? you were able to choose the type of sync, if one way, 2 ways etc… i did like that since i use it mostly for backup, i just want to upload from my pc, and make sure if i deleted in my pc by mistake is still in the cloud.

The new application will let you chose between Backup and Full Sync when setting up a new sync pair.
In your instance, suggest using the Backup option and making sure that your deletion policy (remote) in the settings is set to Do Not Delete That way when you delete the local file, it will still remain in the cloud.
