Kill-Switch feature not working in Windows app

Hello

I currently have version 1.0 installed on Windows 10

I have enabled the Internet Kill Switch feature, yet when I disconnect the VPN I am still able to access the Internet completely. Is this feature working in a way that I am not expecting or could this be a bug?

So to test the Kill-Switch feature with it enabled I then simply press the disconnect button and open up a browser to see if I can get to any website or open up an app such as Steam to see if I can download a game. Both in my case are working with the Kill-Switch enabled. With previous VPN applications I would not be able to do either of the above. But the wording in this app suggests it could act differently on a forced disconnected as opposed to an unexpected one…

Many Thanks

Hi @AGTDenton

Manually disconnecting the VPN yourself will not trigger the Kill-Switch, this will only be triggered by an unexpected disconnection event. Such as a server you connect to has an issue and disconnects etc.

Thank you for the clarification.

It threw me simply because other clients where I have been using the Kill-Switch feature, the functionality is enabled for all types of disconnection rather than just ‘unexpected’.

Cheers.
