Did so too - two years ago already. With IceDrive I was waiting for a working Mac app for at least two years and was fed up with the constant promises without delivering anything useful.
Before that, after a year or so, I asked back my money due to the lack of a Mac app. But they refused since “I was using IceDrive too long already”.
Koofr has proven to be very reliable btw. There’s a 1TB LT deal at StackSocial(.)com. I bought it for $120, but meanwhile it is $200. Even so, it’s still a good deal.
For the time IceDrive will still exist, I will use it as a kind of Amazon Glacier.
Same over here. Waited for years for the Mac app. And it’s still working not properly. I had enough of this so I’m using another cloud service now. Very good for Mac with a decent and correct support with an interesting roadmap.
Icedrive is never going to launch WebDav again! That’s for sure!
Indeed the free account doesn’t support WebDav access. With the free account, it’s possible to test the syncing and the network drive. Unlimited bandwidth and unlimited uploads, it works very well. After a few weeks, I decided to create a small paid plan. All available features (included WebDav) are working just fine. It’s no problem to stack more plans.
filen doesn’t support direct webdav on either free or paid.
the desktop client can offer local access via webdav, so it’s not that useful on a mobile when you’re away from home.
Absolutely correct. But WebDav is completely unnecessary. The app has everything you need for excellent backup, syncing, sharing, etc. There are desktop, mobile, and online versions available. I’m a Mac user, and the app works perfectly, unlike IceDrive Virtual Mount. I’m sorry, but that’s a mess. Maybe for Windows and Linux users, but not for macOS.
