iPhone photo upload loses original date (EXIF) – ongoing issue for 6+ months

Hi,

I am experiencing an issue where photos uploaded from iPhone do not preserve the original “date taken” (EXIF metadata). Instead, Icedrive assigns a modified date or seemingly random date, which breaks the chronological order of the photo library.

This makes the service unreliable for photo storage and backup.

What is more concerning is that I already reported this issue about 6 months ago. At that time I was told it would be investigated, but I never received any follow-up.

Today I contacted support again and the response is still that “this is being worked on”.

From a user perspective, this is very frustrating. This is not a minor feature request, but core functionality for anyone using Icedrive to store photos. Basic metadata like EXIF “DateTimeOriginal” should be preserved.

It also appears that other users have reported similar issues, suggesting this is not an isolated case.

Questions:
• Does Icedrive currently support EXIF metadata (DateTimeOriginal)?
• If yes, why is it not preserved on iPhone uploads?
• If not, is there a clear timeline for implementation?
• Why has this issue not been resolved after 6+ months?

As a paying customer, I expect fundamental functionality like this to work reliably.

Thanks
