Sometimes I’ll notice that my computer gets a bit sluggish. I open the app from the systray and see that it is syncing like crazy (17Gb of 41GB available and counting) - seemingly the entirety of my cloud storage to the local cache folder. I do not have any synced folders set up. The only way to stop it is to end task from the task manager. I restart the app, mount/reconnect, and clear the cache. I do not know what triggers the sync.
something on your pc is trying to read the whole of your I: drive so filling the cache (this is NOT syncing so has nothing to do with if you have any syncs defined or not). have you got windows indexing turned on?
must be something else scanning your drives then. if that’s your works PC, probably some security software or something else. really can’t help you further, it’s very probably nothing to do with icedrive which is just responding to requests for data
ESET Protect Endpoint for Windows, Real-Time File System Protection is set to include Local Drives and Removable Media. Does Windows/ESET interpret my mapped Icedrive drive as local, perhaps?
