Windows 10 alerted me with a message “Protected folder access blocked.” Icedrive.exe attempted to access “%userprofile%\Favorites.” Why does IceDrive need to access my Favorites? For now, I have not changed the action as it remains “Blocked” until further clarity is provided.

No, such reference is to links pinned in MS Edge. I don’t use MS Edge so there is nothing there but it is suspicious as to why Icedrive wants to access something outside of its local apps folder.
