I am running a script in windows 11 which results in uploading a file to my IceDrive then shutting down my machine, however I don’t have a way to know when the file has been uploaded. I realise that when I start the machine uploading will continue, but the machine might not start up. Is there a way to find out if that file has been successfully uploaded?
You can check to see if a file has been uploaded fully by going to the transfers tab in the desktop client or alternatively check the drive app log.
Many thanks, where is the drive app log please?
right-click systray icon, view app log, should open in your default editor. file save as should show you where it is
@tony You can find the app log via the following pathway:
C:\Users%username%\AppData\Roaming\Icedrive\logdata.txt
Or by the way @jjoneil explained, by right clicking the systray icon.
Fantastic, I’ll look at a way of parsing the log in conjunction with the robocopy log.
can we add an additional tab to the icedrive app showing the log?
Thanks for the interesting feature request, I will forward onto our development team to consider in a future update.
