I’ve been running into frequent API errors for months in the Webapp. Uploads kept failing or would be done improperly, and when I tried logging out, I couldn’t log back in. I’ve tried using different web browsers (Edge and Firefox) to no avail.
I was about to give up when I discovered that turning off my VPN fixed the uploading issue. I’ve been using ExpressVPN with Lightway Turbo (dual tunnel) and no Advanced Protection. Neither turning off Turbo nor switching to single tunnel fixed the issue, nor did switching countries, or using a different VPN altogether (Surfshark).
I’ve run into similar problems on Windows 11 with the desktop app. My profile icon wouldn’t even display properly on the app until I turned off the VPN.
Icedrive flat out won’t function properly while a VPN is active.
