Duplicate files in different folders

Some cloud vendors allow removing duplicate files in different folders on our Drive. For example: Manage Google Photos Duplicates [Finder & Photo Cleaner] 2023

Does icedrive have any solution for this common problem?

Hey Amit,

Theres a point where handy tools can encroach on privacy, so I dont think this is something we will offer

For example, it will be more than just detecting filenames - to really detect duplicate files you would need to make a unique fingerprint of the file, like a md5 or sha hash of the entire files contents and store it.

Doesn’t sound like something a privacy focused service would do! :stuck_out_tongue:
