Catalina user looking for workaround

Tallyho gang! My laptop is running Catalina (macOS 10.15.7) which the portable version doesn’t seem to support any longer. Fine, I understand that we can’t keep developing for old OS:es, sure. So I opt for the web version when I’m on my laptop. The problem is, downloading folders etc generates zip files that most of the times are corrupted. Long ago I was adviced to use the portable version when downloading many files at once, which has worked in the past but now the portable version isn’t supported and you see my problem.

So, is there any known workaround for downloading folders/many files and not having it result in corrupted zip files? I can’t go further than Catalina on this laptop so the portable version is seemingly out of the question.

Thanks!

Usually we would recommend using Chrome for the web app however it may not be possible to install on Catalina (macOS 10.15.7). Which browser are you currently using for the web app?

I’m currently on Firefox. I try to avoid Chromium based browsers all together so I didn’t know Google Chrome had left Catalina behind. I bet there’s some other browsers out there that’s more similar to Chrome and still works on Catalina, I’ll have a look around.
