We hear you! We will bring back a Lite plan with 100GB in the new year!
Just heard about IceDrive, recently via the web, and bought a lifetime license, since it seemed a serendipitous moment to do so.
Prior, the only experience that I had with cloud storage, was with Zoolz/Bigmind. I have a plan, but I wonāt be renewing it. I am with IceDrive, going forward.
Can we upgrade to a higher cap if we have lifetime (and keep lifetime)?
Itās no longer possible to purchase lifetime plans so you would need to purchase any new plan on a separate account with a different email address.
Nice but too bad its not 200Gb lifetime plan.
Could you tell when? Itās actually New Year and Im worried waiting because I exceeded 10Gb limit and getting email warnings about my account will be delete if I donāt delete files.
Thank you so much for clearing it up. I was worried about my lifetime plan. Happy to know that itāll not be affected.
Love and hugs

So lifetime plans are back.
When will we see a stable upgraded application with sync for Windows?
Thanks
Does " that after this coming Black Friday and Cyber Weekend" mean there will be a final lifetime Black Friday deal for 2024?
There is a good question.
No, lifetime plans were brought back a while ago and are here to stay. We did plan to remove them last year and did for a little while however due to popular demand were reinstated. We will have more Black Friday deals for lifetime plans again this year.
When will you finally remove lifetime plans to become more sustainable?
I am for the lifetime plan as soon as they make them stakable across all tiers. The inconvenience of having 2 accounts is not reasonable or efficient so it leaves the user having to look elsewhere.
Stack plans are available to purchase with any lifetime plan
So, to confirm, you can stack an existing 10TB lifetime plan and purchase a new 10TB lifetime plan and use 1 single login to access your 20TB lifetime plan. At one time, we were told stacking is only available for low tier lifetime plans. The devil is in the details. Please detail for us.
Thanks
No, you can stack those stack plans on top of an existing lifetime plan. The lifetime plans themselves do not stack so you would have to purchase multiples of the stack plans.
I donāt think we are speaking to a single configuration of 1 merged 20TB lifetime plan - i.e. nothing stops an individual from purchasing their 1st-10TB and then purchasing a 2nd 10TB plan. However, such individual purchases do not support āstackingā of the plans by merging both individually purchased plans into a single 20TB plan with 1 single log-in is my understanding.
Thus, the challenge - you have to deal with multiple sign-onās, Meaning, you can only have 1 instance of Icedrive running on Windows 10 with a specific sign-on which accesses only the 1st 10TB plan you purchased. To sync content to the 2nd 10TB plan you purchased, you have to logout of the current log in session and then login in with a different login to access the 2nd 10TB plan you purchased.
That is the downfall of such offering when the lifetime plans cannot be āstackedā and āmergedā so you can see all 20TB which is synced and viewed with 1 synch login both in the Windows app and the IceDrive Cloud Browser.
However, for the readers, such idea as I have outlined comes with many risks where all of your data is on 1 platform - consider such risk before making any key decision if it is every offered.
Hopefully, you will get there one day for those that are willing to take the risk.
Completely agree with ādont put all your eggs in one basketā.
I have two online storage lifetime plans from different providers that sync with two different onsite storage systems both with redundant options. If my icedrive get currupt i have 3 other copies readily available. If i loose a phisical drive at home i still have 3 readily available copies and the ability to buy another drive and rebuild my raid array.
Digital storage systems are not reliableā¦ non of them. Just google how people have lost data not just from icedrive but every other provider. Sorry to have hijacked this tread and run it off topic. I just know first hand how it feels to loose every photo of my daughter from birth to college grad. I learned data redundancy the hard way.
To bring this back on topic, i suppose if you really want 20tb on a single account, I think they (icedrive) want you to buy the stacks to get there. Lets face the facts here they have to keep the lights on and servers running, so by even offering lifetime storage is incredibly genorous. That kind of business model does not make a lot of sense to share holders to sustain or grow. Any CFO in the tech industry that sees one time pay will laugh and say kick rocks. Just trying to give @Chris a more blunt way of sayingā¦ put that cash in my hands!
