I’m looking to do periodic backups of my IceDrive files. I’ve struggled to use external programs because of the virtual drive or whatever type of drive it is once it’s mounted. Are there any options to create total backups? Or a way to use another backup software?
Hey @abcivilconsulting welcome to the community! The only way to do backups would be to create specific sync pairs using the desktop client/drive mounted app for Windows. You can then set the interval as to when it scans and syncs the files within that pairing.
Yes, I have used but maximum 15 folders?
I had two-way option and doing a copy in the cloud I had a power outage. When I restart the computer I saw lot of files that were 0 bytes. I have discovered that when you upload the files to the cloud all files in the cloud becomes 0 bytes. And if you have the sync on in two ways your local files are replaced for the 0 bytes.
So be careful with the two-way option sync. I think best option is one way to cloud.
Chris, can you confirm that this is how I say? I’m really terrified.
Many thanks.
Could you submit a support ticket via Login - Icedrive and attach the full drive app log to the ticket thread so that our development team investigate further for you?
