Android App release timeframe? Communication?!?!?!

Hello, it is now July 15th and I still don’t see any link to download the IceVPN app for Android… my Cyberghost subscription has finally expired, months after the initial expected release of IceVPN for Android, but I don’t want to have to renew just to have VPN on my mobile device when I already purchased lifetime IceVPN!

Is there any timeframe on a release or even beta release for IceVPN on android? Pretty please?

I’m not mad it isn’t out yet, but we should be getting weekly announcements on updates regarding why we’re so behind expected release imho. Communication is important!

its very quiet on the icedrive side on any topic even soft upgrades

Hi,

I wrote this to icevpn three days ago:

"Hi,

7 months ago I purchased a lifetime subscription in order to use icevpn on my Android phone.

It’s beginning to seem a little ridiculous that I after 7 months of purchasing the product still can’t use it :frowning:

On which date is the Andriod app coming, if ever??"

This is the reply I received:

"Hi there.

The Android application was officially released in early June however, our development team removed it to work on some critical issues that was affecting usability for some users.

We hope to make it available again very soon.

Apologies for any inconvenience caused

Kind Regards
Xxx @ Team IcePrivacy"

Henrik

I definitely wouldn’t mind helping beta test the VPN service so long as it’s serviceable! I don’t mind it crashing out on me or anything but I want to have something tangible to test, so I can see the current state of the product and catch any bugs early.

Thanks for the heads up though, hopefully “very soon” translates into “within the next week” and not “soonTM” =D

UPDATE:

IceVPN appears to be listed on the Google Play Store. Logged in and appear to be connected now!

Surprised no email or notification appears to have been sent out yet, but maybe they dropped it silently to test a smaller amount of users first? Either way, better late than never and it looks like a quality app. Thanks IcePrivacy team for delivering!
