Abandon Ship? Alternatives to Icedrive?

Hi all, I’ve been using Icedrive happily for years. Upon noticing some issues though I popped over to the community forums to find some concerning trends, and am now very worried.

I depend on Icedrive to backup and share large files with my clients. I need to be able to depend on this service and it’s looking a bit grim.

Would anybody reading this be able to make some recommendations for alternatives? I’ve been trying to de-google and don’t want to use Google Drive, but I need to make a call quick and in terms of dependibility, that’s looking like my best bet.

for a business, i’d suggest it’s highly risky depending on any small(ish) cloud provider. depending on your requirements, just get a hetzner storage box (if you just want storage) or a hetzner storage share (nextcloud), about €4 or €5 /month /TB

Much appreciated. I’ll look into that suggestion.

To be clear I don’t depend exclusively on cloud backup. I have my own server and some redundancy, but icedrive has been very convenent. Bit dissapointed to see it start to crumble. I wonder if it’s related to the recent spike in datacenter demands.
