3.33 now syncing properly?

is the version 3.33 now syncing properly? previews versions were like live sync that i needed to the app running,

but if my app was not, or i didn’t have internet wouldn’t recognize the changes, i am still using freefilesync to sync my files

Hi @pelos

Yes, our development team implemented a few changes a little while ago, the app will now check for changes made when the app is re-launched.

thanks tom, if i choose sync, and have the options to delete, if i delete local, in the cloud it will go to the trash bin? for a few days? just in case i can retrieve it later?

@pelos

Items deleted to the trash folder will remain there indefinitely until you either restore or permanently delete them.

Is this actually working for anybody because it sure isn’t working for me!
I even tried deleting & re-creating the sync pair. No luck.

This feature was broken several months ago . The program does not check for changes made when the app is re-launched.

I am testing the same :frowning:

That’s why I think having a log file with what was uploaded and downloaded easy for the user to see what’s happening with out files.

not really…v3.33 still has some issue that require deletion and recreation of sync pair. That is how my usage right now. Relaunching the app does not trigger anything.

i Un synced all my folders and using freesync app

I agree. The new app doesn’t really sync properly. It seems the fix is the introduction of a shadow service that keeps running when the main service is not. This seems to be what scans for changes. But it’s not foolproof. I’ve frequently fooled it with file moves, for example.

To get around the problem, I’m just using FreeFileSync like most others. It’s a kick in the teeth for lifetime users, but I guess it’s just the way it is now.
