[Resolved] Can't Download large files from Chrome on the Mounted Icedrive

So I have already made a ticket for this but wondering if anybody had these issues.
Months ago there was no issue I would have the drive mounted then I would download say a website backup that was 250mb + and it would download just fine. There was then an Icedrive update that made it so nothing would download at all from chrome to the mounted drive. It looked like it would download but after a while it would give this error where the downloads were in chrome.
Failed - Insufficient Permissions
You guys said it was an error with the recent update. It was then updated and downloads seemed to be working and little ones do. Say it is a 5mb image it downloads to the correct spot as it should. But if I try to download something larger (not sure exact amount) it gives me the permissions error and will not download. I then download it to my desktop and at that point I can move it over to the Icedrive mounted drive folder.

Any ideas of fixes or is this a bug that needs to be fixed in a later update?

fyi, I am able to download 100GB as zip using FireFox.
Is the “Failed - Insuffcient permissions” a message you get from the IceDrive desktop app? e.g. when you try downloading from mounted folder?
I can download from mounted folder using v2.68 (Windows app). Although, that is super slow. In fact way slower than via web browser.

We suggest that you do the following:

  1. increase cache size in app Settings;
  2. post a support ticket next time the problem occurs, and share the app log with us;
    its available at:
    C:\Users%username%\AppData\Roaming\Icedrive\logdata.txt

Also make sure you are running v2.70 :slight_smile:

I am on version 2.68 don’t see any update and the one on the site seems to be 2.68. Where do I get 2.70?

Tried again with the cache at 200gb and it failed it looks like it is going to go it goes all the way to the full download amount of 500+mb then the blue part just sits then gives an error of failed-insufficient permissions. I have the log data but no way to put the document into the ticket. How would I do that?

These are basically the last lines there are probably over 1000 lines just for this.

Where please do we get v2.70?

I was told in a ticket that I opened that this would be addressed in the upcoming 2.70 version so I don’t believe it is out yet.

Version 2.70 is only available in beta, internally. Really sorry for the miscommunication, we will release it very soon.

Thanks for letting us know. No problem. The issue with not downloading to the mounted drive isn’t a huge issue just an annoyance as I have to download to desktop then move to the mounted drive. So definitely would help. Love Icedrive its probably in the top 1 or 2 of things I have bought on Appsumo.
